I feel like I’m forever having a bit of ‘should I do this, or should I do this’. At the moment it’s digital vs analog. I love the very tactile feel of pencil/pen/paint on paper and the control you have with pressure and angles etc etc, but equally love the portability and ease of my iPad and Procreate.
It all has to go digital eventually in order to set up and print, but having learnt analog, I kind of feel a bit like I’m cheating when I break out my iPad. It’s still hard no doubt, and I only really like the ‘traditional’ digital pencils - 2B, 6B, and one watercolour brush, wanting to replicate what I do on paper on the screen. I want it to be very hard to tell the difference. Not sure it’s there yet.
I think I just need to get over myself and lean into it.
