Crafting runs in our family, mum has always been doing some kind of art or craft as long as I can remember, and when she decides to do something she throws herself right in. Sometimes it’s not stickable.
I’ve been wanting to make some stickers out of some little illustrated elements I’ve been making on and off and magically, mum had bought a Cricut that she decided she wasn’t really going to use. So I got to actually do it.
I really like manually doing things, sometimes to my detriment. I’ll often take the long way to create something for the enjoyment of perfecting the skill of having done it ‘by hand’. Die cut stickers are pretty hard to get perfect by hand though, and not a chance with sticker sheets.
Had to spend half a day getting my inkjet printer back up and running properly. I know you’re not supposed to leave them in storage for a while because the printerhead can dry out, and yep, that’s what happened. Stumbled across a forum post with a trick to rescue it, and it actually worked, thank goodness!
Needs a redo, colour matching isn’t great, but that’s my fault I didn’t use any colour profile or do a test print before 🙄
Also need to play with the cutting, not sure if it’s these matte stickers or the blade but some of the edges aren’t that sharp.
